Nemesis - Lady Vengeance

Nemesis is the Goddess of Revenge. She is a scornful and violent deity, avenging the resentful, punishing the proud and striking down unfaithful lovers. She is the embodiment of the saying “an eye for an eye”.   Nemesis is a deity of balance, in opposition to Tyche, bringing misfortune to the lucky and taking care that happiness was not too frequent or too excessive. She was mostly concerned with punishing hubris and arrogance before the gods, with the punishments sometimes spanning generations.   Because of her violent nature Nemesis is usually only referred to by epithets, such as “Lady Vengeance” as to avoid invoking them and drawing their attention.   Nemesis is also closely associated with her sisters The Erinyes, Daemons of Punishment as they share a desire for vengeance and retribution.   Nemesis is not worshipped outside of specific cults, particularly goblinkind who worship Nemesis under the name Maglubiyet, their Divine Patron. Some people may also invoke Nemesis when swearing revenge or calling for vengeance.   Domains: Indignation, Resentment, Retribution and Revenge.   Symbols: Daggers, Eyepatches, Geese, Scales and Whips.

Apperance

Nemesis is commonly depicted as a lithe figure with short, jet black hair and tanned skin. They are usually depicted wearing red and holding a dagger or a set of scales, they can also appear as either as masculine or feminine. Nemesis is sometimes depicted with brown or reddish wings and wearing a blindfold or an eyepatch.   In depictions of Maglubiyet, they are always a masculine hobgoblin with black skin, red eyes and serrated teeth.
