Demographics

There is a brutal divide between the rich and the poor and almost no middle class in sight. Those with money control everything and those without are lucky to be paid for whatever "meager" services they provide. There is a heavy density of humans in the region, but there is no overpowering racism against other races; it is rather due to the hierarchy being based on the families of the first settlers, who were human, as the Vikar bloodline was always very loyal to old money.

Government

Seth Vikar currently rules over the settlement and has maintained his father's laws beyond the few he introduced. Those few, however, have had a drastic impact on Khorian. They target the poor with heavy taxation and an even heavier unforgiving hand of the Guard force. Under his leadership, slavery has become commonplace and the city has become a cruel place. Survival of the fittest has never applied more in the entirety of Valdarian History.

Defences

The City is surrounded by 100ft tall walls, layers thick, which are constantly teeming with guards. The primary access is a large gate on the shoreside of the city, where the walls extend into the ocean, which is always heavily defended by hundreds of guards every day. Blackstone Keep itself was created as a Bastion against the Unknown North and has kept its impenetrability over the years without fail.
