K'khelaKhen Settlement in Ethnis | World Anvil

K'khelaKhen

K'khelakhen

A city with a history as controversial as it is long, K'kehlaKhen is a fort-city located within a valley on the northeastern coast of Dar’ru. It started life as a Malisyk bastion of the demon, Murder. The fort brought terror and death to the Faecha and non-Malisyk Nasyk in the region.

After centuries of Malisyk domination, the city fell to the Eiuka with the assistance of Aempis. The fortress turned settlement became a launching hub for the Blood Snow Offensive. Now the city is a major industrial trade hub for Faur'ridar'ru, with a functional spaceport and rail connections to adjacent cities including the isolated Faur'ricai

K'khelaKhen stands as a monument to our past sins, so that we may never forget the atrocities were commited.

It also proves our ability to conquer the darkest places we can create. It is never too late for redemption.

— K'khelaKhen Historian

The Fortress

The first constructed piece of K'KhelaKhen is the fortress. The massive multi-tiered stone structure was carved into the valley wall by Meta-wielders captured by the Malisyk

Massive embankments and buttresses serve as the best vantages of the Valley, and with it's narrow windows, shooters and mages can fire out of the protection of the fortress with maximum concealment.

The Temple

A dark place where unfortunate victims of the Malisyk were tortured and butchered in the name of a false God. It was completely unenterable for decades after capture by the Euikans. A full detachment of Auric Janitors were required to clean the area of the tortured and hostile echos.

The Space Port

Built in the beginning of the Banner Era, the Space port serves as one of Dar'ru's connections to the rest of the Universe. The spaceport is smaller than most, but it is still capable of covering the entire regions economic needs.

Being an Auric Janitor sounds like a tough job. I bet that temple was rough.

It's not fun, but it's just as necessary to society as a sewage worker. They are thankfully well equipped.
