Bienombe Tribe

The Bienombe is the tribe of the current High Chief of the Sypi Confederacy. They reside within the southeastern part of the Confederacy, deep within the woods of the Foretbasse. They are well known for their raids and attacks upon Confederate neighbors, and their warlike natures. The Bienombes were the main force facing the Church of the One Sun and the Sihka Tribe during the Sypi Civil War.

Structure

The chief of the Bienombe Tribe is always elected by acclaim upon the death of the previous chieftain. All members of the tribe, barring children, are allowed to vote in the election, which is typically done at a mass gathering of the tribe. After election, the chief has the final say in all matters of the tribe, although most local concerns are dealt with by the related families within the tribe itself. The chief is the one who interacts with any outsiders or other tribes attempting diplomacy, but he is also free to appoint delegates and representatives to take care of any issues troubling the tribe.

Public Agenda

The Bienombe Tribe stands firmly behind their chief, the High Chief of the Sypi Confederacy. They offer nearly unconditional support for his leadership and continue to advocate for further repercussions against the Church of the One Sun and those who opposed the Bienombes during the civil war. The Bienombes call for full unity until all threats to the Confederacy are eliminated.

Demography and Population

The majority of the Bienombe tribe's population are human, but they also retain a large number of half-orcs due to their close ties with the Saru tribe. The two tribes have intermingled greatly over the centuries, and they have found much common ground in their tastes for war and raiding. These half-orcs have integrated fully into the tribe, and even some full orcs have been known to live among the Bienombes.
