Mikka Tribe
The Mikkas are one of the most aggressive human tribes within the Sypi Confederacy. They are an offshoot of the Cotaw tribe and also travel along the Cotaw Plains, frequently raiding other tribes and caravans that travel through the area. They are consistently forced with sanctions from Wofslar, but they have been known to be skilled in determining how far is too far and just how much warfare the other tribes can handle before they are faced with overwhelming odds. For the most part, the Mikka prey upon travelers from other realms, and any independent villages or communities that attempt to settle within their lands.
Structure
The Mikka tribe is ruled by a hereditary chief, passed down to whichever son is deemed the strongest and most acclaimed. The chief has absolute power over the tribe and is the final say in any decisions made. He often has to mediate between clans within the tribe, as inter-clan warfare and raiding is accepted and commonplace among the Mikka. The clans all bow to the decisions made by the chief, providing that he has the legitimacy of the blessing of his predecessor. The chief occasionally can appoint unbiased delegates from outside of the tribe to handle any affairs that no agreement can be reached upon.
Public Agenda
The Mikka call for more support for the Conino tribe and the increase of new roads throughout the Cotaw Plains. Ironically, they also call for an end to protections for travelers along those lanes and for the Coninos to stop their attempts to protect outsiders from other lands that come to the Confederacy for trade. The wealth of the Mikka comes from raiding these people, and they are adamant to create more wealth for themselves and the nation. They also argue for the end of raiding outside of the nation, cautioning that ultimately the aggression of the high chief and border tribes will create a coalition against the Confederacy from the Civilized Lands.
Demography and Population
The Mikka tribe is predominantly made of Cotaw humans. There are a handful of exceptions, as some wanderers of other ethnicity and race have settled among the Cotaw, usually seeking out opportunities of wealth. Many can be found among the Cotaw, assuming that you enjoy fighting and raiding of other tribes. This has led to many disaffected Cotaw clans defecting to the Mikkas over the decades, as they have found the Mikka leadership to be more tolerant of aggression and bloody settling of feuds and disputes.
