The city was shook by an explosion as big as our heroine! Today, as Almond street, there was a fire and an attack by an arsonist. Witnesses claim several creatures made of flame assaulting the house of Steven Mayers, the Chief of the Watchman Station near Amber Plaza. Inside, was his wife, Lilianna Mayers, who even though the burns she suffered, still stayed brave and fended for herself: "I didn't know what was happening, but it was either fight, or die. I couldn't put shame on my husband's name.". But there is a limit to what a single housewife can do, no matter how brave. Unexpectedly a giant lady came to the rescue, singlehandedly rushing inside, slaying the demons and pulling Lilianna out of the burning house, throwing her out of the window in a heroic effort as the building was collapsing! Buried under the rubble of the house, she dug herself out almost singlehandedly, just after the fire was extinguished. After the incident, the hero Isberget Basilglare commented: “Afraid? Of what? I only knew that I saw the house on fire and rushed in.". What heroism, what confidence!

A walk down the docks isn’t the same as it used to be. Rather than strong men and women diligently moving boxes and calling jokes and teases to each other, one often finds them self surrounded by lifeless wooden puppets, scurrying about with crates, under the watchful eye of just a few overseers.   This change hasn’t gone unnoticed, least of all by the porters who have been forced to find work elsewhere. The man responsible for the rise of poppet laborers couldn’t be located for comment.

As everyone is aware, nightmares have plagued the city for months now, sometimes held at bay by Zelseris' blessing, but not all are protected simply by prayer and holy symbol.   A local man was found catatonic following a particularly bad series of nightmares. No injuries marked him, and he still seemed alive in body; but his eyes were vacant, and the mind was gone from him. Whether this is a simple misfortune or a sign of dark dreams growing more serious remains to be seen.

The military has taken action against the abominations of humanoid animals plaguing Port Prine and surroundings. After a successful interrogation of captured individuals they managed to locate several camps and wiped them out. Captain Erich has refused to comment on the situation however several captured abominations have been spotted as the patrols continue to search for more camps in the surroundings.   A friendly tribe of the abominations have been found as well, and negotiations are underway as to decide their status and citizenship status. It is for the time being heavily adviced to not go near any humanoid animals if spotted, and to alert the nearest watch member or soldier in the event one is spotted.

As many know the yearly autumn festival is near and that means the various bakeries and food stands are busy preparing all their delicacies for the hungry people who come to watch and participate in the various contests in the Summit Park. Even the general stores are in on it as they stock up on masks and the farms hauls in the pumpkins. But that is not all! This year a carnival troupe has come to set up in the Amber Plaza! Come and enjoy the drinks and pastries together with friends and family for the whole week, from the 14th to the 20th of October.

Tonight marks the end of the autumn festival and with it the magical light show to be conducted above the Summit Park in hopefully spectacular fashion. As usual for this yearly event, the food stands near the park will remain open late for everyone to enjoy their delicious treats as the autumn celebration comes to an end.

This morning, a woman was found murdered in an alleyway in Gaemoft, with the words, "I'm watching" written on the walls in the victim's blood. "This is the third murder in the past two weeks," Detective Addvark Moblibooglian comments. "I am certain that this is the handiwork of 'the butcher.'" In addition, Watch Private Johnathan, who discovered the corpse on his patrol, reports that both the victim's eyes had been gouged out. "My guess is that this is his gruesome idea of a joke," Detective Addvark Moblibooglian of the Watch remarks. "a message of fear to intimidate the Watch or future victims." In response, the Watch have increased patrols in the district.

The watchmen are enjoying the temporary vacation, while bad doers are sweating! Several intense pacifications took place around the city, albeit sparsely. The last week yours truly only counted three! Who's the Avenger, what are their motivation and is this really an avenger? The watchmen shrink back and don't comment on it, other than they'll catch them in due time. Lets hope for the best and that our streets will be safe!

Earlier this morning, the Watch confronted the Butcher in the Dregs after a lengthy investigation. The Butcher resisted arrest and assaulted the guards with lethal force, prompting the Watch to retaliate in kind. The guards sustained several injuries in their attempt to subdue the murderer, but the only casualty was the Butcher himself.

One may have been fortunate enough to attend the grand celebration held by House Emral just a few nights past - but instead of a night of good food and revelry, the visitors were instead witness to an attempt at assassination on Lord Emral’s son, Jaren, using an unknown poison on an arrow. The assassin escaped unhindered by security or the watch - and their only known accomplice was killed. Who will they strike against next?

Many likely witnessed the column of smoke coming up from the Dregs this afternoon - but fewer saw what was recovered from the homes that collapsed in the blaze; the corpses of lizardfolk pulled from the charred wreckage, giving us a clear indicator of who was responsible for the destruction. Is this a sign of new hostilities from the savages? The Watch has no information, and many are expressing discontent with their failure to protect those living on the outskirts of the city from these dangerous lizards.

The prices on tobacco are rising, making smokers and merchants all around Port Prine furious. The increase in cost is attributed to a lack of goods coming in from Fenfield. According to Henrik Samgood the missing goods are not due to a lack of sales from the farm oriented city as plenty of it is for sale. Is there more sinister forces at play or is someone hoarding all the goods? We will keep you posted on the events!

The Daelan holiday Latha Stoirm, also known as the Day of Storms, begins today. Two days of solemn, quiet remembrance of martyred heroes and all those who died with honor, followed by a grand feast on the 10th and three days of celebration marking the new year in Daelan. It's mostly celebrated in Dhachaigh, which has gone nearly silent, but it's observed by all who follow Tiernan, and the temples have already begun preparations for the feast and the celebrations to follow.

As of Saturday morning, the Watch has issued a public service announcement to avoid entering the sewers. The statement was made in response to rising mortality rates due to increased monster activity in the sewers. The Watch advises avoiding manholes and informing your local Watchmen if you hear any strange noises coming from them.

Several small passenger ships have gone missing in recent days, the only sign of them being wreckage that washes up on the beaches and around the harbor. No survivors have been identified, and no source has been found to these disappearances. Achitar's naval forces have increased patrols in the area, fearing pirates.

Earlier today it was announced that due to some unforeseen events, the church of Erala has decided to close the local graveyards for the public. The church promises that there is nothing to worry about but that important renovations are required. Funerals will still be held but only the close family will be let inside the graveyards during the burial.

After finally managing to establish some form of communication with the new arrivals off the coast, the Crown has issued a formal declaration that they are under the authority of Achitar, and will be expected to hold allegiance to the Crown first and foremost. The islanders apparently refused, insisting that they are an independent group and will not pay taxes to a foreign authority; it can only be assumed that the Crown will not take kindly to this.

With the lizardfolk attacks having almost ceased the past month, the officials have confirmed their plans for a festival to celebrate the recent prosperity of the city. Merchants and travellers are already now coming from near and far in anticipation of the festivities, sending the prices of the local inns to the sky.

Watch Commander Lord Jelan IV has proclaimed victory over the monsters in the sewers, declaring that the hideout for a major gang has been seized by the Watch. The gang was a known supplier of alchemical drugs, fueling the gang violence on the streets.   "We planned that assault for a long time," Jelan IV said to reporters. "It is thanks to the tireless efforts of our Watchmen that a terrible menace to Prine has been rooted out."   The Watch has arrested several gangsters, as well as put down several monsters they were harboring. All confiscated drugs have been destroyed, as well as the laboratory and equipment used to make them.   "With this decisive victory, we will be cracking down on crime hiding in the sewers now that we have a foothold down there," Jelan IV states. "I want every gangster to know something: you do not rule Prine. Drugs do not rule Prine. The King rules Prine, and his law will find you."
