Contests & events

Pie eating

All participants make an initiative check to see who can grab a pie fastest.
Each participant then makes a DC 12 (+1 per previous check) Fortitude save to get the pie down without choking.
The winner is the first participant to successfully eat all pies. If more than one gets it down, the person with the highest initiative is the winner.
The number of pies varies, but generally there is around 4-5 pies for each participant.

Arm wrestling

Each round, the contestants make opposed Strength checks.
Each successful check moves the opponent’s arm closer to their side of the table. To win, a player must make three more successful Strength checks than his opponent.
If the contest has not been won after 10 rounds, both contestants must make a Constitution check each round (DC 10 +1 per previous check) to be able to continue wrestling. If both contestants cannot continue, the contest is a draw.

Drinking contest

Drinks equal to double the amount of participants are set down in front of them. Half are typical strenght (1), one is amazingly potent (3) and the rest are double strength (2). It is possible for PCs to determine what the drinks are and their strengths using knw. local or an alcohol related profession skill.
People who fail to identify has to roll a d20.
1 = triple strength
2-10 = double strength
11-20 = standard strength
If two or more roll 1, they each get a triple strength because mistakes happen.
People can consume a strength equal to 1 + (con x 2). Drinking more than this causes the participant to become sickened and each drink after that requires a DC 15 + strength consumed to avoid being messily nauseated for 1 round and disqualified as well as doused by a bucket of water. PCs must last for 1d4+4 rounds to win over all NPCs
Participants: 3-6.
