The section of the city where all the lower class people and immigrants live. Incomplete streets, mostly only hardened earth from walking, with rare sections of cobble. Dangerous for anyone looking wealthier.
Old Town
Old Town is the central area of the Dregs, the oldest part of the district and mostly full of smaller houses rather than shacks or cramped tenements. Mostly made up of Esconti immigrants, the Old Town used to be part of
Sunstone before it began to decline.
Machi
The largest of the cultural enclaves in the Dregs, Machi is primarily home to immigrants from
Joudan. The streets are a clash of cultures, with buildings made with foreign techniques using native materials and streets lined with signs written in various Joudan dialects and common Esconti. With the chaos being compounded by the three dominant cultures of Joudan coexisting in a small space, Machi is difficult to regulate and is mostly left to police itself.
Scales
The Scales are so called because they are frequently bothered by the Lizardfolk and kobolds, and due to their position outside the walls. They are the most crime-ridden, least safe place in the city.
