The prices on tobacco are rising, making smokers and merchants all around Port Prine furious. The increase in cost is attributed to a lack of goods coming in from Fenfield. According to Henrik Samgood the missing goods are not due to a lack of sales from the farm oriented city as plenty of it is for sale. Is there more sinister forces at play or is someone hoarding all the goods? We will keep you posted on the events!
During the past two weeks the caravans coming from Fenfield has been on a steady decline. Tobacco, cacao, sugar and cotton has all but stopped arriving to Port Prine, skyrocketing the prices with as much as 50%. Despite investigations, the culprit for this shortage has yet to be found according to Sergeant Elos who explains that the military is doing their best efforts to solve the mystery.
After discovering an increasing concentration of Observers watching the dreams of sleepers in Prine, the Elemental Tower has advised everyone in the city to be careful of any strange activity, and asked the Watch to prepare additional measures in preparation for what the Tower claims could be an 'approaching catastrophe.' Some have speculated that the Tower knows more than they are letting on, but nobody knows for sure.
The forests are once more safe according to Sergeant Elos, who is the leading several squads of soldiers in clearing out the animals that have been ambushing travellers the past year. According to the sergeant, many camps have been raided and the number of the animals are quickly dwindling as less and less camps are found and attacks occuring. With this change, the prices for tobacco, cacao, sugar and cotton are expected to soon drop as merchants manage to bring the goods back to Port Prine from Fenfield.

The ship sent by the Crown to investigate recent happenings beyond Achitarian waters has returned, and reported a large number of people seemingly having appeared from nowhere. They've already begun construction of an assortment of buildings, and while most seemed to be rudimentary houses, the sailors were unable to get a clear idea of their purpose from afar. It's unknown what their intentions are as of yet, and no word has come from the Crown as to what the response to their presence will be.
Soldiers returning from their watch in the mountains have said that the hobgoblin activity on the border has been decreasing, though they still hold a firm guard in the mountain passes.
Speculation following the movement of the King's Army has been confirmed by travelers from Fenfield; hobgoblins have somehow passed the border, and are making a new offensive towards Fenfield itself. While they've been prevented from laying siege so far, it's too early to say for sure whether the King's Army will be able to prevent them reaching the city in the future.
King Joel Grandis Virreau III announced Tuesday that Alqawa has officially signed a treaty with Achitar. The treaty defines trade and travel terms, making Achitar the only country in the world on trading terms with all three Major Powers. The Alqawan Senate has expressed interest in continued negotiation, though the crown is waiting for official responses to the treaty from Queen Tyrinthis and Emperor Joudan before proceeding further.
