He has learned a relaxed and easy way of communicating information with people and how to draw people into the story. It's the medic’s job is to keep people alive, usually after they’ve been shot, stabbed, trampled, gored, poisoned, infected with an unknown disease, or some combination of the above. For those operating in the field, this requires extensive knowledge of biology, chemistry, and pharmacology. As a medic, he is not some faith healer or medicine man. He doesn't rattle chicken bones or blow moon dust over open wounds. He doesn't ignore the basics of his profession—splints and braces—but he also don’t ignore the benefits of the scientific process and the by-products of thousands of years of trial and error. These are modern practitioners of an evolving and every advancing science.

Medical Exploits

As a medic, he gains exploits he can use to aid allies or hinder enemies. Mechanically, these are identical to spells. Exploits require both the use of his hands and appropriate materials to perform. Unlike spells, medical exploits require neither contemplation nor studying each morning; he regains the use of them each day without effort. He does not need to choose which exploits to prepare ahead of time. He can employ any exploit on the list of a level that he can use.

He also knows six medical applications from the medical application list. These are at will abilities she can use as long as she has the necessary materials and action to perform them.

Intelligence is his medic ability. It is used when setting the saving throw DC for a medical application she uses and when making an attack roll with one. Exploit save DC = 20

Target Avoidance

Dash or Disengage as a bonus action.

Primary Target

If he doesn't make an attack action on his turn, +3 AC until the start of his next turn.

Medical Emergency

Once per turn (on his turn), he can activate one medical application requiring an action or bonus action as a free action.

Intelligent Resistance

Double the proficiency bonus with all Intelligence and Wisdom saving throws.

Risk an Aneurysm

Instead of using his Hit Dice to recover hit points during a short rest, he can expend them on his turn to recover a medical exploit of any level he can use. He must employ that exploit within 1 minute or it is lost. He regains one level of exploit slot for each Hit Die sacrificed, but he can only recover one slot per turn. For example, if he spends 4 Hit Dice, he can recover a 4th level slot.

Good Thing You Have Friends

He has the ability to use allies for cover. For each ally within 5 feet of him, he can increase the level of cover he has. One ally—half cover; two allies—threequarters cover; three allies—full cover. If he is still hit with an attack, he can transfer all damage to any single adjacent ally regardless if the original attack roll can hit the ally or not. If the attack targets him and the ally, the ally takes both damage values, taking his damage second. The ally does not have to be willing.

Archtype: Sapper

Combat engineers have a long and respected history. He can be a bridge builder and a bridge destroyer. He approaches bombs while others turn and run. With seconds on the clock, others give up while he takes it as incentive. He does his best to put in knowledge in chemstry to good use depending on the situation. In most cases that means making medicine to help others heal, but there are times that making things blow up is also useful.

The Long Walk

He has advantage on Intelligence (Demolitions) checks. Additionally, anytime he makes an attack with a weapon with the EXP property (grenades, demotions, or rockets), he gains a +20 damage bonus. This includes both direct attack rolls and when imposing Dexterity saves.

Render Safe Procedures

If forced to make a Dexterity saving throw, he can move 5 feet as a reaction but before needing to roll (possibly escaping the area of effect).

Slight Chemical Improvement

With an explosive attack (via a thrown grenade, planted explosive, or a weapon with the “exp” property) with a blast radius of 10 feet or more, he increases the blast radius by another 5 feet.

Proper Application

When determining the saving throw DC for explosives he sets, double his Intelligence modifier. Additionally, if a target fails a saving throw against his explosives attack (via a thrown grenade, planted explosive, or a weapon with the “exp” property), increase the number of damage dice by two.

Scorched Earth

Hisr explosives tend to set off chain reactions. After he detonates an explosive, a lingering fire breaks out dealing +26 fire damage to any targets entering or starting their turn in the affected area. The fire lasts for 1 minute.

Alchemist’s Supplies

Alchemist’s supplies enablehim to produce useful concoctions, such as acid or alchemist’s fire.
Components. Alchemist’s supplies include two glass beakers, a metal frame to hold a beaker in place over an open flame, a glass stirring rod, a small mortar and pestle, and a pouch of common alchemical ingredients, including salt, powdered iron, and purified water.
Arcana. Proficiency with alchemist’s supplies allows him to unlock more information on Arcana checks involving potions and similar materials.
Investigation. When he inspects an area for clues, proficiency with alchemist’s supplies grants additional insight into any chemicals or other substances that might have been used in the area.
Alchemical Crafting. He can use this tool proficiency to create alchemical items. He can spend money to collect raw materials, which weigh 1 pound for every 50 credits spent. He can make the check using the indicated skill with advantage. As part of a long rest, he can use alchemist’s supplies to make one dose of acid, alchemist’s fire, antitoxin, oil, perfume, or soap. Subtract half the value of the created item from the total credits worth of raw materials he is carrying.

Medical Kit.

The formidable medical kit holds bandages, pills, trauma shears, ointments, and basic stitching implements for basic injuries. They also have eye pads and cooling gel pads for burns. Along with wound irrigation. Other implements include splints, alcohol pads, an epinephrine injector, hemostatic pads, and various scalpels and scissors for emergency surgical procedures. Trained medical professionals can pull off miracles with a medical kit. A medical kit has enough supplies to perform 50 actions(regardless of how many targets are affected by said action).

Drug Kit.

Along with syringes required to deliver various medications, the drug kit offers standard chemicals medical professionals use to create various drugs. Additionally, this kit also includes tools enabling one proficient in its use to extract needed medications from natural sources. Like the medical kit, the drug kit has enough supplies to perform 10 actions (regardless of how many targets are affected by said action).

Engineering Kit TL 4

These kits include diagnostic tools, a soldering gun, fine point insulated needle pliers, and wire cutters. It employs a battery for a digital multi-meter measuring ohms, amps, and volts. It also comes equipped with a variety of wires, clips, resistors, banana plugs, and crocodile clips. All diagnostic tools in the kit use non-corrodible wiring and are EMP-shielded by design, as it would be incredibly inconvenient to have to repair the repair kit before repairing another device. More advanced kits are required when dealing with more advanced technology and can affect build times and cost.

Background: Prodigy

To the detriment of other aspects of his life, he excels overwhelmingly in chemistry. He picked up a fascination for it early in life and thought of nothing else. Thankfully, there was a support structure in place, allowing him to follow his interest. His classes were paid for, allowing him to attend the Medical Doctorate program. His obsession drives him to exclude most other things in his life.

Origin

He was born and raised in Camp Hope where he has spent his entire life. There has never been a reason for him to go any where else. He was born into an average family. He has 5 siblings. This is perhaps the most notable thing about his family. The number of children that his parents chose to have is rather uncommon in these times when raising children is a difficult task.

1. Tragedy: Debt
His son became sick and needed medical care which became expensive rather quickly. He borrowed money to pay for his son's care and still owes Levi Aislin Power 10,000 credits. 2. Windfall: Positive Side Effects
Well, that was unexpected. He has subjected himself to a medical experiment, a yet untested treatment in an effort to helphis son. While the medication had positive effects on him, it seemed to do nothing for his son. He gained a Genetic Benefit from this medication. 3. Romance
He married Pene Susanna Kendal when they were young and he feels that he has only fallen more in love with her as they have grown old together. 4. Tragedy: Death
Dispite all the care that was provided to him, his son still died and they were never able to figure out what it was that killed him. It was obvious that it was an infection of some kind, but that was all they were ever able tof igure out. 5. Windfall: Earned Favor
Enzo Cosima feels that he owes Essence because he saved Ellen Anne Cosima's life when she was a young child and had an accident. NowEnzo will provide a total of 6 favors to Essence. Education

He earned his Medical Doctorate and then went on to self educate. That often means that he spends many hours in a lab learning how chemicals work. He does his best to write down everything that he is learning so that others can learn as well. He has many note books that he has submitted to the New Medical Library for others to learn from.


Employment

He has spent his entire adult life working at Hope Hospital. He currently works there as the Medical Director and engages in medical research with his focus being on chemistry. He does his best to develop new medications and chemical treatments to advance the way they provide care. Sometimes though he takes on a project that involves a different part of the camp and imploys his knowedge of explosives. He often assists with the demolitions of old buildings or handling of sensitive materials.


Motivation

His primary personal motivation is to learn as much about chemistry as possible. This has been his life long special interest. This is the thing that he thinks about whenever he has an idle moment. He wishes that was all that was required in life, but he understands that there are other things that he needs to do in order to make sure that everything keeps functioning as it should. He believes that Humanity stands the best chance living in communities being governed by fair laws. Ideas of good and evil generally just cloud things over in the day to day decision making. Once laws have been established, people need only obey them to know that they are doing the right things for their society. Questions of goodness are for leadership when designing and ruling upon those laws.


Short

He is not a tall man and that bothers him. He has always felt that men should be taller and stronger than women. And he is shorter then just about everyone. He wears heels to get as much height as he can, but is still shorter then most people. It is a sore point for him. He doesn't take jokes about his height well, often becoming hostile quickly.
