Kyle Fenikkusu
Born one of the rare phoenixes on Drago Claw Island in the small town of Lavender Haven, and then raised in the Torched Emberlands soon after, Kyle Fenikkusu saw life differently. All his life, he detested eating horse meat once a day, even though this was the only way for a phoenix to live, sort of like how Crown Prince Kěith Cheonsa hated drinking blood, seeing himself as a monster for feeding off of living things. When Kyle is not eating horse meat, he is a vegetarian.
After being captured and forced into the life of an Exotic Pet, Kyle experienced nightmares that would scare even the toughest of soldiers. That was back in 2007 EoL. Now, as of 2010 EoL, Kyle lives in the Vol'nische Zoo with Kěith's other Exotic Pets. Kěith is one of the few people Kyle considers good out of the vampiric species, as Kěith is the one who saved him from Kyle's old master.
When a phoenix is born, their egg is wreathed in flames for a few hours. The bigger the flames, the more a phoenix can resurrect, as one would say. For Kyle, his birth resulted in catastrophe. His mother, excited to give birth, took refuge in Lavender Haven with a family who owned a large estate. The family set up a private quarters for the mother, making sure everything was fireproof. Then came the birth at dusk.
Upon arrival, the flames surrounding Kyle's egg were so intense that the heat shattered the window and embers from the flames sparked onto a nearby tree and soon set the estate ablaze. Nobody could believe the power Kyle's flames, believing him to be blessed by Noella, the Sun herself. As the flames raged on, a portion of the family housing Kyle's mother and his egg were trapped by the flames as the family attempted to put them out. It wasn't until dawn that the flames died out and Kyle's egg no longer bared a source of heat coming from it. This was around the time that the family discovered the missing family members were burned alive. The family, however, doesn't blame Kyle for the deaths as a phoenix cannot control their powers upon the egg's brith.
To this day, Kyle despises his fire magick, calling it a destructive force that should never be used. If someone asks him to use his fire, he will bluntly refuse and doesn't care how much it upsets someone. Fire is bad. Always.

Kyle tends to be a quiet person, focusing on his inventions and barely registering what is going on around him. The only times he's not inventing is when he's sleeping or being forced to interact with people. When he's not inventing, which is rare for him, he is serious around people. Yet, can be sometimes be goofy, as when he's with Kěith and the gang. In the Vol'nische Zoo, Kyle often shows his dislike for the guards, the Emperor, and even Syus Nightingale, Kěith's bodyguard, by glaring at them, but the second he gets time alone with his friends, he mouths off about how volatile the person is.Trauma
Kyle was captured in Gribmm of 2007 EoL by someone he would grow to call "Master." Everytime he didn't do as Master demanded, Kyle was beaten and tortured until Kyle eventually broke and submitted to Master's commands. Master's greed with the power of phoenix feathers forced Kyle to hand over his feathers to stop the beatings. By Cahuln of 2010, nearly ninety percent of Kyle's feathers were missing. Then, on Cahuln 23, 2010 EoL, Kyle's entire life changed. The Crown Prince entered Master's estate and slammed a large bundle of Itudean Silver onto a table and bought Kyle from Master.Abilities
Kyle's wings are a huge part of Kyle's heritage. When he first shifted into his phoenix form, Kyle was overjoyed to see his wings were fiery orange with burnt-black tips, one of the rarest wing colors among phoenixes. However, upon his transformation, Kyle was given a lecture about the magickal properties of a phoenix's feathers. If a phoenix pulls a feather off their wing and genuninely give it to someone, the phoenix is handing over a feather containing one minor wish.
