Due to Marinette's death, Kěith blamed himself and when his father turned to physical abuse shortly after Kěith turned 311, Kěith let it happen, even if his great-uncle defended him and attempted to smuggle him out of the empire late one winter night, where they were caught and Kěith was beaten again for putting the empire in "danger."
Now, fast forward 213 years later when Kěith had developed
insomnia mixed with night terrors if he attempted to sleep. All of this led to fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and his other psychological and physical symptoms (anxiety attacks, withdraw from others, be easily startled, and have muscle tension) increasing, which left Kěith with
major depression and
dissociative identity disorder (DID).
At 283-years-old, Kěith was drawing and caught by his father, who took him to a special room, blindfolded him, and placed Kěith's right hand on a rubber mat on a table. Kěith stood there, unsure of what was happening when he heard a crack and a sharp pain. Yanking his hand back and tearing off the blindfold, Kěith saw his father smirking at him with a metal hammer in hand. The knowledge of his father punishing him for drawn left an impact to the point Kěith chose to never draw again.
After Mari's passing, Kěith was found singing and his father broke Kěith's windpipe as a punishment. Even though Kěith couldn't speak for a while, he remained frightful to sing ever again after his windpipe healed.
With singing and drawing out of the picture, Kěith turned to cooking with his great-uncle, Dong-Sukio Cheonsa. He enjoyed the peaceful act of sitting back and cooking for hours until his father saw Kěith and pulled him away with a threat. Kěith was then forced to drink "rotten blood" for a week, which ultimately left Kěith sick for three weeks. The torment of his father's punishment once again left Kěith giving up his last favorite hobby. Dong-sukio didn't agree with what happened to Kěith and eventually convinced Keith to not give up cooking.
Motivation
Kěith's only reason to get out of bed anymore is that he knows the only way to stop the war is by becoming Emperor, a job he despises. He only wants peace, which seems impossible from his point-of-view. Thanks to his
Exotic Pets, Kěith has now gained enough confidence to take on the twisted path of being the emperor and ending the war as peacefully as he can. His first job? Being forced to marry a vampiress to rise to the throne.

Born on Biwid 25
th of 1492 EoL, Kěith was blessed under the
Church of Darkness. His parents loved him deeply, spoiling him at every opportunity. Six months after his birth, Sin-yeona was slain by a large group of
werewolves, rendering Vlad with a twisted rage toward revenge. The agonizing pain of losing his wife sent Vlad into a state of histeria, where he could no longer see his son. Banishing Kěith to the country of Tong-illa, the young prince was raised by his Great Uncle Dong-Sukio Cheonsa, who sought to give Kěith the best life he could have ever had.
For Kěith, however, his mama is a mystery. He knows little to nothing about his mother, save for the stories his Tong-ilian side of the family would tell. His only protection was his elder sister, Marinette, who kept him away from their contemptible father, Emperor Vladimir Tepes, who saw him as nothing more than a shoddy excuse of a son. As Kěith always asked questions about his mother, Vlad was quick to consider Kěith a failure. Marinette, the only daughter of the emperor at the time, was the only shot at trying to grace the family name; Vlad needed her to take the throne as the powerful Empress he saw her to become; not some pansy boy and worthless trash.
In 1776, when Kěith was only 284-years-old, he learned that he was to have a younger half-sister. This led to plenty of confusion on his behalf, not understanding why his father would want to be with anyone else if his soulmate was Sin-yeona. This was the year Léhä was born. Kěith would grow to be very protective of his younger sister, vowing to never let anything happen to her as it did with Marinette.

When the fateful night of Marinette's death at the hands of the werewolves occurred (Kruqesk 14th, 1802 EoL), Kěith began to blame himself for the horrible incident. He hated himself for it. He tortured himself for it. His sister's death was his fault. She died because he wanted to play in the snow. He believed it should have been him that died out there, not her, for she was innocent in every way.

Marinette's death was his fault.
From the years 1851 - 2009 EoL, Kěith has no recollection of what happened. He was surprised that
Syus Nightingale was his bodyguard for roughly 69 years. Disgusted by what had happened during the time his memory was gone, Kěith began to work hard on backtracking everything he did. Only then did he find out that his father was wanting him to marry a vampiress as quickly as possible to secure an heir for the line.
As of the past seven years, Kěith has tried everything to change what history he has written. He wishes nothing more than to right his wrongs and end the war as peacefully as he can.
