Southwest Coralous Island

A rich, fertile region in the southwestern corner of Coralous Island, this land is home to the Coralous Union and a half-dozen lizardfolk tribes. Thanks to the arrival of the colonists from Ebronium, this slice of Coralous Island has seen more strife and cultural upheaval in the last hundred years than anywhere else on the island.

Geography

Fed by the mountains in the north, the southwestern corner of Coralous Island is filled with rivers and lakes of all sizes and shapes. The mountains give way to foothills the further south you travel, but the flatter the terrain gets, the more saturated the area becomes with waterways, making nearly one third of the region wetlands. While there is no shortage of small vegetation, especially in the fertile marshes and near the great rivers, large forests are relatively rare. Near the Southern Sea, the land becomes very open and hospitable, and while there are plenty of coastal marshes, there are also many rocky coastlines.
