Hess’kik’ik Tribe

The Hess’kik’ik lizardfolk tribe live in southern Coralous, largely isolated from both the settlers and their fellow lizardfolk. One of the original hostile tribes in The Lizardfolk Wars, they were also one of the first to surrender to the overwhelming might of the settlers; accepting defeat while the wars raged on. While the conditions of their surrender ensured that no future hostilities arose between the native tribesmen and the new settlers, peace talks were never formalized and good relations have never existed between the two. The Hess’kik’ik tribe now lives in a smaller portion of land than they once held, but does so in relative isolation for the time being, away from the expansions of the settlers.
Because of how much weaker they are currently then at the height of their power in the pre-settlement era, they can no longer field enough hunters or warriors to fight against the settlers. As is, while most members of the tribe still view their new neighbors with suspicion and disdain, having a generations old claim to their lost lands, they must routinely turn away calls to action by the Krh'shi'sn Tribe tribe to the northeast.
