History

The Drathzari Forest was originally created by the Ents during the early days of the Primordial Age. All spawning from the mother tree. Here many believe that the Ents, in collaboration with their natural spirit guardians, created the Wood Elves, the only Elves native to Ómar Crún. The Forest remained still and safe, holding only minor battles between the elves and the BloodScar Goblins until deep into the Age of Bronze. The Treaty of the Ents kept the Drathzari Elves from war with the Dwarves for centuries, all the way through the Elves and dwarves siding together to bind the Elder Birds to the earth. Eventually, however, the Dwarves deception was made clear when their war machines began driving across the Forest. The Elves and their Ent allies refused to fall victim to these betrayers and after decades of fighting, the Imperium Aereum had to fall back. They had fallen into an economic depression due to the amount of War Machines destroyed. This lead to the inevitable failure if the Imperium in the War of Tyranny. The Forest was bothered minimally by the war and eventual subjugation. Where other people's culture was being enslaved, destroyed, and forgotten, Gal'Galed saw the Drathzari as equal folk as they were both Elves. The High Elves of the Red Lotus bothered the Drathzari little. Each region of Ómar Crún was assigned a Lord of Dread to oversee the area in service to Gal'Galed. Ex'valia the Lady of Spirits was assigned to the area and she imposed herself in the Elves with no force or pressures. She simply offered her protection as long as the Elves dead would join Ex'Valia's service. It was at this point that she established SteepGulf and, much later, Gilford within the Forest. Eventually the humans in every region rebelled, kicking off the Last War. At the halfway point of the War the Wood Elves had started an alliance with the Humans under their leader King Tais, who promises their people would find the peace in death their ancestors wanted for them. Ex'valia didn't hold the territory for more than a few years after this. The final battle of the Last War took place near where modern day Kohrn stands. King Tais smiting Gal'Galed with the power of The Crown of Law destroyed a large swath of the forest and ripped a massive rivine into the landscape, creating what is now called the Chasm of Kohrn, named after the city King Tais establishes to celebrate the defeat of the God Emporer.        From there the Crown had many spats with the Drathzari, but actually kept peace generally throughout the region. Until the Crown left, and now the region has become the hot seat of an upcoming war, one the Drathzari Elves may not survive.
