Barony of Decay

A group of Myconid to the north of Frostbound, living in a large forest of mushroom set into a chasm separating the Drathzari Forest from the Aereum Teeth, spawning from a massive tree of fungus planted by the Myconid. They have only been here for a year, if just a little longer, fleeing the Underdark under the guidance of their goddess "Lady Rot" who warned things would get very bad there soon. They did fine under the protection of the massive fungus forest grown from their blessed seed until the Dorei Shōnin from below began prodding the surface for a new place to settle. Now they live in fear being hunted constantly. The Myconid try to put forth a friendly and generous face but in their lands forbidden to outsiders lay evidence of their cannibalism. Intelligent races of all kinds lured here and used as food and sacrifices for the Myconid and their goddess.
