Baron Guggle Föp (a.k.a. The Mushroom King)

Elder GuggleFöp was one of the original mushroom spores that formed The Midnight Grove, home to the Myconid People, or at least it once was. Now GuggleFöp's people are displaced, forced to the surface by the Dorei Shonin, who have began a mass expansion through the Underdark, fleeing The Mind Flayer invasion. Through occult ritual GuggleFöp has channeled the power of Lady Rot (Zuggtmoy) to implode a part of The Drathzari Forest with Faezress, matching the ecology the Myconid thrive in.

Personal history

Baron GuggleFöp was born from the Faezress, along with 2 other Myconid. This group arose and began cultivating a vast fungal forest beneath the surface of Collatus. This is how they formed the Myconid, using the decay of other lifeforms to reproduce more Myconid. This was how he served who they deemed their creator, Lady Rot. The myconid maintained secrecy for centuries, completely left alone by the other races of the underdark. This was maintained until the Illithid began their expansion. As the Illithid began to conquer Dorei Shonin Settlements, the Drow Elves began moving outward to escape this advance, eventually stumbling on the Midnight Grove. They drove the Myconid from the Underdark, hunting them down to near extinction by the time the race found their way to the surface, on the Faezress Tear.
