The Black Pool

A Temple sitting on a pool of Black Water that is becoming a notable religious site for the Revving Tide, who believe Eq'Squell the Black was the first coming of the Wet One who has risen from its depths.

Purpose / Function

The Black Pool surrounding the temple operates as a powerful planar portal to the Elemental plane of Water. Originally, the sea elves that once lived here used the pool's, once blue, waters to bring offerings to their ancestors. Now, Eq'squell uses it to summon horrors to work under his command

History

Originally formed as a temple to serve the Sea Elves ancestors, Eq'Squell poisoned the portal with horrid magic, corrupting the 3 high priestesses overseeing the temple. These corrupted priestesses would go on to become the Witches of the Black Pool, killing their cloister and using it as their base of operations. After the Witches were killed by the council of FrostBound, Eq'Squell rose from the portal. Eq'Squell has since been constructing massive defenses to protect the temple. He also summoned the Marid known as The Wet One and took control of his body. This has led to the site becoming a highly sought after location for the priests of the Reviving Tide.

Tourism

Many followers of the Reviving Tide regard this as a holy site.
