Gilford
Once protected by The Crown, Gilford has managed to maintain order for the most part since their protectors departure through the towns very active militia, and prosperous Mines, but mostly the rallying of the populace by its lord protector.
Gilford is ruled by Lord Protector Mattheas Gilford, the Town's Crownsguard was Mattheas' father, Elliot, who first helped establish the Militia.
Recently Gilford has fallen on hard times after surviving multiple raids from scouting parties that have broken off from Yeenoghu's Horde. As the horde has began descending on the town House Bellelin of Steepgulf has stepped in to aid them, as a result Lord Mattheas agreed to have the town exist beneath House Bellelin's banners.

Government
Gilford's day to day operations are managed by its Lord Protector Mattheas. The Lord Protector previously made all major decisions in conjunction with his military leaders, this however has changed and all major decisions have been deferred to CrownsGuard Bellelin.

History
Gilford was formed by The Crown in the late Age of Law as a halfway point between Gilford and it's vast farms and Kohrn's prosperous mines. it was given to CrownsGuard Elliott Mattheas to guard. There he was a fair leader and noble protector of his people. When the Crown left Omar Crun, CrownsGuard Mattheas passed the town's leaderhip to his son, making him the Lord Protector.

Tourism
Gilford is the cultural hub of the Reviving Tide religion. The Temple to the Wet One drives most tourism into the town, as well as their very active coal mines
