Amlyn was a Cambrian knight, the former lord of Winterbourne Stoke in Salisbury, Logres and former heir to Appleton Thorn in Cheshire, Cambria. His liege lord was Earl Roderick of Salisbury.
Amlyn was a romantic knight, preferring to impress those at court than on a battlefield. Though he always presented himself as rich, he lost his ancestral holdings of Appleton Thorn under the rule of High King Vortigern after his family fled to Brittany. He recaptured Appleton Thorn in 491.
Amlyn squired under Sir Bles until his death, followed by Sir Jarren until Amlyn's knighthood in 479. His permanent esquire was named Collin, esq.
After the death of his friends, his wife Lady Elaine, and his daughter Meinwen, Amlyn was arrested for treason against King Uther Pendragon and executed. Since his death, he has been seen as a bogeyman.
His coat of arms was a purple rose against a gold chevron on a blue field. As an heir, his coat of arms features a three-point label.
Amlyn was a player character. He was succeeded by Ioan.
