Appleton Thorn

Appleton Thorn is a manor and surrounding village in Cheshire, Cambria. It is the ancestral home of the family of Sir Amlyn of Winterbourne Stoke and Sir Ioan of Appleton Thorn.
It was originally owned by Sir Hedd, followed by Sir Amlodd, and eventually Sir Dafydd, before being granted to the family of Sir Hubert by High King Vortigern.
In 491, it was reclaimed by Sir Hedd's ancestors Sir Ioan and Sir Amlyn.
The current lord is Lord Brugyn of Appleton Thorn.
