Paganism

Paganism is the native religion of Britain. It is a religion of nature and oral tradition, with pagan beliefs and attitudes differentiating itself from British Christianity and Roman Christianity.   The Pictish variant is called Heathenism, while the Saxon variant is known as Wotanism.

Mythology & Lore

Pagans worship many immortal entities called gods, goddesses and spirits - including (but not limited to) Alba, Don, Beli, Minerva Sulis, Dionysus, Mithras, Isis, and Cybele - alongside their greatest deity, whose name must never be spoken. These entities reside in and embody all aspects of nature, such as the sun, the moon, the trees, and the sky.   Pagans believe that the world was once inhabited solely by Faeries, an immortal race descended from the Old Powers - ancient all-knowing demons and spirits including Anna, Cernunos, and Arktos, known collectively as "The Dragon". The first humans - the Children of Alba - appeared and lived in harmony with Faeries, but could not bear the knowledge of The Dragon, so their greatest deity slew it.   Once The Dragon was slain, the world was split into night and day, light and darkness, the turning of the seasons, and into our realm and the Faerie realm - "The Other Side". Men appointed deities to protect and watch over all of the nature in our realm.   Pagans believe that by following the teachings of Paganism, followers will be reincarnated upon death.
