Merlin the Magician

Archdruid Merlin ͏͏͏͏ (a.k.a. Merlin the Magician)

Merlin is a legendary and mysterious Cambrian⁣ sage and enchanter, considered the most powerful magic-user in all of Britain⁣. He is the Pagan⁣ archdruid of Britain. He is known for disappearing for long periods at a time.   Though High King Aurelius Ambrosius Pendragon⁣ has worked with the Roman Christian⁣ pope to eradicate Paganism⁣ from Britain, Merlin was an advisor of Prince Uther Pendragon⁣, who helped him gather mystical stones from Ireland⁣ to restore Stonehenge⁣. He does not consider himself the subject of any king.   Merlin is believed to be the son of a nun and an incubus. His age is unknown.   He is currently exiled for the kidnapping of the prince of Logres. He was replaced as King Uther's magical advisor by Lady Nineve, a Lady of the Lake.   An old friend of the family, Sir Gwyn of Oxenwood⁣ called him "Uncle Merl".   In 498, he left Britain forever.
