Sir Gwyn the Witch Hunter

Sir Gwyn ͏͏͏͏ (a.k.a. The Witch Hunter)

Gwyn was a Cumbrian knight, the banneret of Oxenwood and lord of Shrewton in Salisbury, Logres. He was the heir to Horsington in Jagent and the third heir to Fishlake in Maris, Cumbria. His liege lord was Earl Roderick of Salisbury.   Gwyn was a proud knight. Despite his strength and skill, he struggled to live up to the glory of his father Sir Rolant the Wyrm Hunter and his ancestors. Shortly before death, he earned the nickname "Witch Hunter" from the royal huntsman Ralf for his opposition to Black Annis and Tydfil the Witch.   Gwyn squired under Sir Hywel until his knighthood in 479. He had four squires.   He was the widower of Lady Illy of Oxenwood and had two twin sons, Jesse and Jordan. A third son died in childbirth. He is survived by his second wife Lady Aoife of Oxenwood with whom he shares a son, Brodie of Oxenwood.   Shortly after being released from prison on false charges, he was slain by Duke Gorlois of Cornwall at the Siege of Castle Terrabil.   His coat of arms was a rousant gold eagle, addorsed and inverted, and a gold descrescent against a black field.   Gwyn was a player character. He was succeeded by Penwyn.
