Sir Penwyn of Oxenwood
Sir Penwyn ap Rolant
Penwyn was a Logrian knight and legitimized bastard of Sir Rolant the Wyrm Hunter.
After the death of his half-brother Sir Gwyn the Witch Hunter, he became banneret of Oxenwood and lord of Shrewton in Salisbury, Logres. His liege lord was Earl Roderick of Salisbury.
Penwyn was conceived at the wedding feast of his half-sister Lady Violette of Hallington and was raised as a farmer before learning his heritage as an adult. He was often confused by knightly and courtly customs.
He was married to Lady Aoife of Oxenwood, his half-brother's widow. His squire was his nephew through marriage, Tathan.
Penwyn was considered a hero of the Battle of St Albans, slaying Cyning Octa of Nohaut. He was poisoned at the Feast at St Albans hours later.
His coat of arms was a rousant gold eagle, addorsed and inverted, and a gold descrescent against a black field. As a bastard, his crest features a baton sinister.
Penwyn was a player character and successor to Gwyn. His successor is Alwyn.
