Cyning Octa of Nohaut
Cyning Octa ͏͏͏͏
Octa was the Ænglic Saxon king of Nohaut, a Saxon-occupied territory in Cumbria that was formerly part of Malahaut.
As Octa was born in Britain and his family hails from Jutland, he was a Ængle and not technically a Saxon at all; the term Saxon is used colloquially. He wielded a magical axe.
He was the son of Cyning Hengest of Kent, brother of Cyning Æsc of Kent and first cousin of Cyning Eosa of Deira.
Octa was captured by Sir Artaire of Idmiston and Sir Gwyn the Witch Hunter in 480, but escaped from prison in 483 and allied with The Centurion King of Malahaut.
He was killed by Sir Penwyn of Oxenwood and his squire Asher of Appleton Thorn at the Battle of St Albans in 495.
