Sir Artaire of Idmiston
Sir Artaire ͏͏͏͏
Artaire was a Logrian knight, the lord of Idmiston in Salisbury and Lighthorne in Wuerensis, as well as the abandoned village of Borewell.
Artaire was an agile knight, choosing speed and mobility over heavy armour. He dedicated his life to a quest to find his missing sister Orcade, who was discovered to be murdered by their uncle Sir Eiffin of Lighthorne. He then swore to get revenge on his uncle.
Artaire was not a human, but a faerie clay construct known as a golem created by Tydfil the Witch to be raised as a knight in Logres.
Artaire squired under Sir Amig until his knighthood in 479. He had two squires himself.
He courted Lady Adwen of Burcombe for years before losing her in a duel to Sir Jarren of Burcombe. He married Lady Gwiona of Idmiston and had one daughter before Lady Gwiona's death, Nyneve of Idmiston.
Artaire lost his arm in 484, but was restored by Merlin the Magician. He was killed avenging Prince Madoc ap Uther and Sir Gwyn the Witch Hunter in combat against Duke Gorlois of Cornwall.
His coat of arms was a silver rampant regardant wolf on an erminois field.
Artaire was a player character. He was succeeded by Viver.
