Gorlois was the duke of the duchy of Cornwall and sheriff of Tintagel⁣. He held many lands in the southern counties of Logres. He was a legate of the Supreme Collegium⁣.
Gorlois was a grizzled veteran of many fights, battles, and wars. He was granted dukedom after being the first lord from Cornwall⁣ to support High King Aurelius Ambrosius Pendragon⁣, and defended his duchy from Irish⁣ raiders and Cornwall plunderers.
Gorlois was noted for his loyalty to his beautiful wife Duchess Ygraine of Cornwall⁣ and his three daughters, as well as his tremendous personal courage. Despite his friendship with High King Aurelius Ambrosius from their time in Brittany⁣, he was not well-liked by King Uther Pendragon⁣.
Gorlois primarily resided at Tintagel Castle⁣ and Terrabil Castle in the county of Tintagel.
His coat-of-arms was three red lion heads surrounding a red chevron on a black field.
