He was formerly a household knight of his liege lord Earl Roderick of Salisbury, residing in Sarum Castle. He was granted Burcombe in 479.
Jarren was married to Lady Adwen of Burcombe and was raised to banneret upon his marriage in 483.
Sir Amlyn squired under him before he was knighted.
Jarren was executed by Earl Artgualchar of Wuerensis for attempted kidnapping of Sir Eiffin of Lighthorne in 488.
