Arianwen was a Cambrian former nun from Cheshire. She was the mother of Sir Amlyn of Winterbourne Stoke and Sir Ioan.
She was the daughter of a minor lord in Cheshire, and the dowager lady of Appleton Thorn.
After her husband Sir Dafydd of Appleton Thorn passed away, she became a Roman Christian nun in the City of Legions. She was expelled from the nunnery in 481 after rumours of her being a horse thief.
She died while staying at her son's manor Winterbourne Stoke and was married to Teacher Brugyn with two children, Jac and Aeronwy.
