Nariai
The Nariai consider themselves the cultural guarantors of the Ancient Viisianari. Following the Great Collapse, many of the fallen scions of the former nobility of the Viisianari united to drive Mornal masters from vulnerable areas, uniting the remnants of other defeated peoples. They eventually managed to gain control of most of the River Shauron, from the Haushora Fork north to the coast. From there, this new force continued to expand west and east to reclaim some of the land that had once belonged to the Old Orckid Empire.
The Nariai comprise the majority of urban populations in Viis Zoroth, though they can be found in rural areas as well. In general, they are followers of the Sixteen Pillars and advocates of imperialism as a means of fending off West Orckid aggression. Their support of militarism and economic competition has been unfavorably compared to the Mornal, but the Nariai respond that the Old Orckid Empire itself was a conquering nation.
