Many Mox Men and Mox Masters have been drawn from their blood, and some of the men practice spelling openly. Many powerful families seek to make use of the Dorns, but few are willing to call them friends. Despite their relative lack of influence, the Dorns claim ancient heritage, supposedly being one of the earliest families to kneel to the Beths during their conquest of the Cape of Monsters. Some legends say Donneragh Dorn took the hands of three of his chiefs that refused to kneel with him. Other myths say Donneragh and his two sons burned their hands on the flaming spears gifted to them by King Baarach of Beth after kneeling to him. Many Dorns through history have made use of both of these versions of the clan's origin, suggesting they are brave enough to reach their hands into flame or alternately threatening to take the hands of those who prove unworthy.

History
The Nemons claim to have been protectors of the Fiirwood in ancient times, where they warred against Nabas, the Wolf of Night. They came north and east with Greeyan the Cold King to establish the Rule of Ainros, but moved to Revelback during the Rule of the West. Some legends claim they once ruled Dark Den Fortress or Queenspoint or even @Malbrand, but there is no evidence for any of these claims.
