Stelliah
Stelliah is often referred to as the most extreme and hostile of Altherian regions. Stelliah was founded by Vinull Plethorn, after the splitting of the original region, Borviriah, towards the conclusion the Broken Blood war in 75 F.A. The creatures and magic that call Stelliah home are so hostile that most of the major cities have been founded underground. Underneath Stelliah is a colossal cave network believed to potentially expand underneath all of Altheria. The six major cities located underneath Stelliah are what constitutes it's biggest kingdom; the Underkingdom with Syndripe being crowned its capital. The cave network is largely unexplored due to its complex nature and lack of definitive landmarks. There are some that are brave enough to call the surface of Stelliah home. The terrain itself consists of lakes and fields with plenty of forests mixed in. The true danger is within the nature of Stelliah. The surface of Stelliah is referred to as the Raven Lands, it got this nickname from the color of much of its flora. The grass is a pale gray color while many of the trees have leaves that vary from purple to gray to void black. It is very common for massive clouds of fog and mist to be traveling around the Raven Lands, this fog is very thick in nature and is many times the home to various rare creatures. Many believe that the magic that flows within Stelliah is dark in nature and extremely hostile. Many famous necromancers and dark wizards have come from all over to call Stelliah their home.
Kingdoms of Stelliah
The first established kingdom in Stelliah was the UnderKingdom which resides exclusively underground. There used to be two kingdoms that divided the Raven Lands into North and South. The Kingdom of Grennin holds dominion over the south, regularly warring with the northern Hestian kingdoms, and the Limbin Kingdom which held northern Stelliah from 844 F.A. to 1008 F.A. having just recently collapsed. Most of Stelliah consists of plains and densely packed forests. Stelliah doesn't border any of the oceans that surround the massive continent. However it does border the Shimmer Sea, many large rivers flow from the sea through the region. These water networks provide one hundred percent of the water for Stelliah. Unfortunately it is not common in the summer time for some of these lakes and rivers to dry up causing mass droughts for many of the surface dwelling residents.. The most unique part of the geography is the massive cave network that exists below the surface. These caves and tunnels are home to many of the residents of Stelliah. The network of tunnels and caves create what is close to a labyrinth underground. The dark and similar looking walls make it very easy for careless travelers to become lost deeps within the depths of the caves. Possibly succumbing to starvation or something much worse hiding in the darkness.
Fauna & Flora
Much of the indigenous life forms of Stelliah are believed to have its dark magic running through their bodies. It is very evident within the Flora as they are tinted dark colors ranging from pale grey to purple to dark blue and void black. A lot of times trees will grow and never produce leaves. But instead grow while appearing to be dead. Stelliah is also home to many hostile and carnivorous plants. It isn't uncommon to see a flower salivating or a large bush with what appears to be teeth hidden inside. The Fauna is just as hostile if not more. Many of these creatures are unworldly and appear to have crossed dimensional plains. The nature of the dark magic attracts many predators and ancient creatures to the Raven Lands. The most dangerous of these creatures are referred to as the Feer. These humanoid life forms can stand up to ten feet tall and are gaseous in nature. Their extremely hostile and are best to be avoided at all cost.
Natural Resources
Most of the resources available in the Raven Lands are undesired by the other regions as many believe they're tainted with Stelliah's dark magic. But what is desirable is what can be found below the surface. The cave systems of Stelliah are home to some of the largest mines within Altheria. This makes Stelliah the largest producers coal, iron, copper, bronze, and gem stones within the Eastern Regions. The entirety of Stelliah's economy is built upon the success of these mines. Rumor does have it the during the season of Alith, the Raven Lands portals and dimension doors can appear and lead to different plains of existence. Many adventurers brave these harsh conditions to risk finding and extremely valuable and rare mineral that can be sold for thousands.
