The Glowing Jungle

A remote jungle hidden deep within the region of Enithe. Magic is rumored to be the life force of this jungle, it flows through everything that calls this sacred place home. The trees grow to lengths up to four hundred feet tall, their foliage an electric blue color that gently glows in the night. The rocks here have veins of magic essence that flow around them, these veins can vary between all colors depending on the nature of the magic within. The wildlife that calls the Glowing Jungle home have gone undisturbed for decades, growing without limitations and with the assistance of magic. The Glowing Jungle is heavily guarded by the head mages guild of Enithe, Trinty's Pact . The only people allowed access are Enithe royalty and assigned wizards that are researching the unfathomable jungle.

Geography

The Glowing Jungle is a relatively flat area, it is decorated with occasional out cropings of rocks capable of reaching sixty feet tall. There also has been a few caves discovered deep within the Jungle. The jungle itself is located towards the center of Enithe, making it landlocked. There are waters sources available deep within the jungle however, these lakes are incredibly deep and are a clear purple color. Within the Jungle are a few foot paths that have long been tread by the researchers and security mages that search the jungle for any clue about its exotic nature.

Fauna & Flora

The Glowing Jungle consists of monstrous trees reaching far into the sky. The trunks of the trees are the width of buildings and are extremely dense wood that has magic flowing through it like sap. The locals of Enithe consider a sacred site and there have been many who have theorized about the Glowing Jungle growing over one of the biggest sources of magic in all of Altheria. Due to the bioluminescent trees and rocks, shadows are very uncommon within the Glowing Jungle. The Jungle however is extremely thick, the trees grow close together with a minimal amount of space in between. Travel by carriage becomes impossible just a few hundred yards into the forest. There are only a select few spots where the trees aren't clustered together. These spots are the lakes that exist and feed the creatures of the forest. No one knows how deeps these lakes are and only one of them has been found. The lake is a clear purple color, it is rumored to be one of the most cleanest water sources in Enithe. Many researchers believe the lakes within the Jungle are what are responsible for the incredible mutations of the creatures that live within.

Natural Resources

The Glowing Jungle is a very protected location within Entihe. The Queen of Enithe has declared it a relic of Enithe and has made, harvesting resources and hunting illegal to the highest degree. The Queen even sent a personal request to Trinity's pact to protect the jungle and enforce the rules she wishes to be upheld their. This being said it is implied that any resource that would be taken from the Glowing Jungle would be incredibly valuable on any kind of market. Magic flows so strongly within all of the life forms in the jungle that the properties of even the simplest of the resources like wood are incomparable to any other. The magic that has infused with the wood in the forest has turned it incredibly dense and surprisingly regenerative. The lake water has yet to be tested as only two research trips have been made to the only known lake at this point in time. The stone in the Jungle is perhaps the most interesting resource. They contain veins of pure magic running through them. Researchers have yet to find out why these rocks are capable of containing pure magic or what purpose they could serve at the moment. The current research team is actively researching the rocks and the different essences of magic that have been found running through them.
