Hestiah

Hestiah is home to some of the most extreme mountain ranges in Altheria. Inside Hesitah is four different prominent mountain ranges along with a wide variety of single mountains that stand alone. Hidden inside one of the mountain ranges the Kingdom of Nunn and its capital city of Xilthyn. These mountains are towering in height as many of them cut through the clouds and are snowcapped. Hestiah is also home to some of the most active volcanoes in the Eastern region. The most notable is Mount Polistine which erupted only a few years ago completely destroying the nearby settlement. Hestiah was founded by Minthus Plethorn, the younger twin brother of Vinull Plethorn founder of Stelliah . Hestiah is home to the famous woman only mages guild Moon Orbit. Hestiah doesn't actually have any beaches despite it being a coastline region. Due to its natural elevation the coastlines are actually cliffs that stand high above the ocean.

The Kingdoms of Hestiah

Hestiah is the most chaotic region of the Eastern Regions. It has the most warring kingdoms. These consist of the Kingdom of Nunn, the Obledash Kingdom, then the Trybulli Kingdom, next is the Kingdom of Errent, followed by the Kingdom of Ryytyl'Elmen and lastly the Aerivvin Kingdom

Geography

Hestiah has the most mountainous terrain in the east. Containing Mount Orndune which is an astounding 26,413 feet high. Most of the mountains within Hestiah are snowcapped but the main issue is that they're extremely hazardous to get to. Between the climate, steep cliffs and wild life not many explorers can even arrive at the snowy portions of these mountains. Hestiah is also home to a couple of active volcanoes that reside in the more south eastern portion of the region. At least one of these volcanoes goes off around every ten to twelve years. Due to the high number of mountains dotting Hestiah there are also quite a few valleys that have formed in-between some of the mountains. These valleys vary in-depth and sometimes due to their proximity to the mountains, have veins of valuable minerals showing above ground.

Fauna & Flora

Hestiah doesn't contain a lot of flora due to the mountains, many of these mountains reach altitudes that are harsh and deadly to most types of fauna. However some of these mountains have plants that have adapted to survive despite the lack of oxygen. These plants are known as dran-thlin or breathless in the common language. These plants are believed to have extremely regenerative properties, capable of closing even the deadliest of wounds. The fauna in Hestiah is capable of being quite hostile at times. There are rumors that residing in some of the mountain ranges are colonies of gargantuan spiders that are capable of spinning webs between the peaks of some mountains. These are certainly some of the most frightening denizens of Hestiah. Many other creatures that call Hestiah home are capable of burrowing and traveling underground. Preferring to ambush their prey from below.

Natural Resources

Thanks to the unusually active volcanoes in Hestiah they actually have an abundance of magma export as well as ash and sediment that many other regions pay top dollar for as fertilizer. The residents of Hestiah have found ways to transport magma safely and have used it to warm their homes and streets, as well as imbued it into many of their weapons and daily tools. Many of the mountains are made of a mineral called Ice Rock This mineral is naturally close to zero degrees fahrenheit and is extremely dense. It would be an excellent protective material if someone were to find a way to keep it at a warmer temperature. The last notable resource is the dain-thlin plant, merchants and neighboring regions alike pay top dollar for the miracle plant. Many mages have attempted to dissect the plant in an attempt to discover its healing properties but none have succeeded.
