Wrecked Coast

A mass grave to many merchants and sailors

The southern shore line of Enithe it is the home to many scenic beaches and even more moored, sunken and destroyed ships. The shimmering aqua of the comfortably warm ocean hides beneath its calm lapping waves, a mass graveyard of ships long forgotten. A friendly breeze awaits travelers that navigate along the coastlines main trade paths. The Wrecked Coast appears far more inviting than the name suggests. It is not even uncommon to see couples or families enjoying a beach day by the shore, blissfully ignorant of the many tragedies hidden beneath the waves.

Geography

The Wrecked Coast is a gorgeous shoreline, with sparkling and playful waves. Intertwined with these waves away from the shoreline are occasional massive stalagmite shaped rocks that barely pierce through the ocean top. They're incredibly difficult to see for the average sailor, most successful merchants who traverse the Wrecked Coast hire specific lookouts just for these stalagmite type rocks. Often times merchant ships will accidentally rip their hulls open and take on water slowly joining the countless others beneath them.
The water of the coast is very normally a comfortable temperature. Home to a few coral reefs, rock outcroppings and a few large islands that sit distantly off the Enithe coast.

Fauna & Flora

The comfortable temperate waters are home to many types of underwater creatures, varying fish, sharks, crustaceans and more interesting lifeforms. There can also be found a simple array of corals and shellfish, that call the ocean floor and skeletons of ships home. Various sea weeds, urchins and other underwater plants can be found here. While the biodiversity is notable here, it is nothing compared to the waters of Thurn.
There goes an old fable of the Wrecked Coast, it recalls a battle of an ancient blue dragon and kraken that ravaged the shorelines and stirred the waves to massive sizes. These two behemoths battle every few years. Their fights are so great that they wash ashore sunken trinkets and treasures from ships long forgotten. Neither the Dragon nor Kraken ever seem to gain the upper hand on each other. Both of which fight viciously but will retreat if necessary.

Natural Resources

The coast is rich in biodiversity enticing many fishers to attempt to set up shop and fish for any form of creature. Many fishers have learned the hard way that spending too much extra time in the Wrecked Coast is a great way to lose a ship. Treasure or resources carried by sunken ships will occasionally wash ashore onto a beach. Due to the high rate of free goods that wash ashore, many merchants, families and bandits on occasion will make a habit of frequenting the beaches in search of valuable or anything of remote interest.

Ah, yes the wrecked coast, I frequent it with my beloved quite often. Great great spot to spend the day and maybe get lucky and find a thing or two. But I always find myself thinking about the stories hidden beneath those waves.
