Dragon Sorcerer

A rank awarded to the seven key members of the loyalists faction. They hold important positions within central institutions and corporations of the network Cassidy has created.

Origin

The original seven sorcerers were actual sorcerers by trade. They helped Cassidy transform into her human form. They then became the founding members of the loyalist faction. From there this rank underwent many transformations until it settled into the modern day form.

Current Holders and Titles

The seven sorcerers are usually no longer actual sorcerers. The title name has persisted dispite attempts to change it several times. Each sorcerer now has a specific title to define their domain as part of the dragon loyalist network.

The General

The general is the leader of the Dragon Warrior Company and serves as a military advisor to Cassidy when necessary. This role is rarely needed, but Cassidy has relied heavily on it whenever necessary. Conducting a war with humans is quite different from how dragons would do so.

The Guardian

The sorcerer tasked with the protection of those under the care of Cassidy. The guardian organizes bodyguards and safe houses all around the world to protect anyone and anything that needs it. In modern times this is primarly achieved with the personel and assets of APU Security. As the CEO of this corporation they have a lot of responsibilities.

The Advocate

A lawyer by trade and a partner at Hillford & Derry. Represents Cassidy herself in legal disputes and sometimes other loyalists at the request of Cassidy.

The Banker

The banker manages the financial and investment assets of Cassidy, Vinaya, other sorcerers and many loyalists. Paragon Trust Inc. is the company used to do so in practice since its founding. Over the centuries this role has had to adapt many times to changing economic models and environments. The successor was usually chosen and then trained by the current holder of the title. It includes a lot of secrets to ensure the security of the assets.

The Caretaker

Highest ranking caretakers and director of the Children of Cassidy Institution. This post is usually held by someone who has worked with children most of their lives. It is expected of them that they are an advocate for childrens issue and help those most disadvantaged.

The Priest

Leader of the Dragonic Order and spiritual guide of the loyalists.
Current Holder: Judy Nelson

The Professor

Director of the Society of Dragonic Paleontology and leading expert in dragonic paleontology. Helped found the organization and the only sorcerer title which has never changed hands.
Current Holder: Nawaar al-Farran.

Succession

Each dragon sorcerer to designate an heir when they get the title. This practice has largely avoided larger conflicts within these factions, but succession has not always been smooth. In some cases, Cassidy herself vetoes a heir and sometimes the heir was disputed by others. How such conflicts are carried out depends heavily on the organization that sorcerer leads. Within the Dragon Warrior Company a dispute was usually settled with a duel.
