Ok, so I'm going to pitch this again since the last time didn't quite get the response I was looking for. What I want, and would benefit WA, is adding the ability to choose to create children in the 'Blood/Kinship Relations' in the Relationship tab. Now I know that you can add character relations with EXTENDED RELATIONSHIPS, but that ONLY covers spousal and sibling relations. So, I ask this, add the feature I request, or add a children type to Extended Relationships

The Team's Response

This is accepted. I wanted to make a clarification. Children can already be added. The character you are currently in IS the child, that is the point of the relationships system. The reason it doesn't exist is because it is assumed that when in a character that character is the child. The complexity that this suggestion adds, albeit, obvious not obvious is that in order to add a child, you will have to determine the OTHER parent of the child and IF that child is adopted or genetic progeny making the form INFINITELY more complicated.

I personally do not think this is required has all you need to do to add children to someone is go to a character page and assign that character the corect parent in the same tab.

I link children a lot and this would be so helpful! I actually was looking for a feature like this when I first went to add character relations and ended up having to use external relationships with custom tags.

Currently you can just make the child and then select the current character as a parent, although I can see how this would make it faster to create families.
