CALL FOR #TUESDAYFICTION

Amazing news there were 19 tweets on #TuesdayFiction last week. It is getting enough visibility that other people out in the world are using the hashtag in their tweets now! 15 of the tweets were World Anvil articles, go us!
Some of the people that posted tweets with us had over 20,000 followers. The potential impressions went from 6400 the previous week to 800000 last week - I'm using trackmyhastag.com to get an estimate. To get a bigger share of those potential impressions be sure to like World Anvil posts and retweet (recommend retweeting 3 based on what I have heard about the algorithm, do more if you want of course!)
There are already a couple of tweets up today but let's get to it! and Thanks!
My Tweet: More #TuesdayFiction delivered to you from the Anhult Wildlands. They say Ardelis' Arrows never miss. This group of hunters and farmers took on the job of protecting the forest. Would you be an Arrow? https://worldanvil.com/w/anhult/a/becoming-an-arrow-rank #WASummerCamp #dnd #dnd5e #ttrpg
(My article has a dnd pitch so use hashtags that work for you. #worldbuilding, #worldanvil, #writing are other good hashtags)

It's #TuesdayFiction time again!

Last week we had 9 article posts on the #TuesdayFiction on Twitter. A search of hashtag results showed we had the potential to reach 6400 people. It was enough visibility that we got 2 posts from people outside of our World Anvil content. Who is ready to do it again?

Background: Part of our Summer Camp homework was to come up with processes to get ourselves comfortable with sharing our world-building. There is a hashtag on Twitter #TuesdayFiction that is inactive. The last post was early 2020. I am going to post one of my Summer Camp articles every Tuesday until WorldEmber! I would love to completely hijack the hashtag if anyone wants to post Summer Camp articles (or other World Anvil articles) on Tuesdays with me.

Sample Tweet: Last week my #TuesdayFiction was about halflings, this week it's about the goblins in the forest. What if they needed your help? Would you help save the goblins? era nir https://www.worldanvil.com/w/anhult/a/number-one-goblin-will-fall #WASummerCamp #Fantasy #Nature #writing

#TuesdayFiction

Hey Worldbuilders! Part of our Summer Camp homework was to come up with processes to get ourselves comfortable with sharing our world-building. There is a hashtag on Twitter #TuesdayFiction that is inactive. The last post was early 2020. I am going to post one of my Summer Camp articles every Tuesday until WorldEmber! Would love to completely hijack the hashtag if anyone wants to post Summer Camp articles (or other World Anvil articles) on Tuesdays with me. You can find me on Twitter at @georgesanders_
Sample Tweet: We all know a kind & gentle halfling. Good-hearted and brave, ready to stand up to oppression, & trusting in their community. I assure you their disappearance has a dark mystery attached to it. https://worldanvil.com/w/anhult/a/thorngage-halflings #TuesdayFiction #Fantasy #Writing #WASummerCamp

Character Motivations

I was asked by a few people this week about how I build motivated characters, so I threw something together in case my methods can be of use to anyone else in inspiring your own characters.
How I Write Motivated Characters
Generic article | Mar 24, 2023

Notes on how I create compelling character motivations, and thoughts on how to adapt these ideas to your own characters.

Haven't written any world articles this week, as I've had a story rattling around in my brain for a few weeks and it's finally ready to start coming out. I've been putting it up for my Patreon patrons as I write it, but I made the first chapter free in case you'd like to see what I'll be focusing on for the next month or so.
MD1, Chapter 1
Prose | Oct 24, 2023

Haunted by his past and finally beginning to adapt to civilian life as a single father, Shane Lawrence finds himself thrust back into his role as a military tactician in a desperate effort to defend his new home.
