Julie Piper shows up at Friedrich's home to question him about events at the Hwy 280 storage units.
All of the characters head to Boca Chica restaurant to confront the Los Lobos wolf pack about their attack on Udon and Benjie Bjornson's attempt to find and steal Talbot's magic box.
Friedrich Gottschalk pulled some vampire strings to get himself and Sam Blackwell off of Julie Piper's suspect list for the 280 storage unit bodies.
The Duke of Steam Boats required Udon's help to recruit mortals to attend the Queen of Minneapolis's ball. Udon only got one human to attend and had to go as his date. What seemed like one night at the party was actually one week in the real world. While there, Udon met the oracle, Finn Bastion.
Talbot Marlot drastically strengthened the protections around his key piece and relative in a retirement home.
Viper gave Sam Blackwell a job to find a missing crystal orb. Sam knew Udon had stolen/found it, and has been protecting her since then, sensing the orb belonged to Viper.
Sam traded their silver (possibly magical) axe to Udon for the orb. Udon wanted the axe instead of Sam cashing in their debt because Udon is still worried about werewolf attacks.
Talbot Marlot orchestrated a meeting between Friedrich Gottschalk and Joaqin DeBoer to settle the permitting issue for Friedrich's club, Black Forest
The characters visit a goblin market in Saint Paul. Talbot met his old "friend," Trent Razorner as Trent shut down E.G. Desolcne's market stall. Udon snuck into the stall while Talbot and Trent chatted and bought the ink they came for. Friedrich found out an acquaintance from Europe was around. Sam started looking for information to end their contract with Viper.
Talbot Marlot gave Udon a magical tattoo that stores her silver axe. They performed the ritual at Banning State Park while Sam Blackwell and Friedrich Gottschalk terrified some twenty-somethings playing D&D near the cliffs.
The characters receive invitations to the Fae Autumn Equinox ball. The invitations imply the characters must or should vote for the queen of Saint Paul's moon to rise over the Twin Cities for the season. Everyone accepts the invitation.
Sam Blackwell and Friedrich Gottschalk meet Abdi Amal at The Fly, a magical bar where are the tables are floating 20 feet in the air. Abdi cashes in his debts on them and asks them to kill a gang and make it look like a drug hit. After the meeting, Friedrich parties with Abdi to figure him out. Abdi is a man of decadence in vampires hunting humans.
Talbot Marlot investigates the orb Sam Blackwell is supposed to use when they kill Joaqin DeBoer. It is some sort of prison, and Talbot almost gets trapped inside.
Rory Breaker summons Sam Blackwell and forces them to fight in a monster tournament. Sam destroys all opponents and wins. Rory promises not to contact Sam again,on pain of death.
Talbot Marlot's ward triggers and Talbot teleports to Talbot's Relative - Margarite assisted living room. He finds James Mackin trying to break in. After some pursuit, Talbot stole an amulet of some kind. Using it, he discovered the entity 'Nightmare' is trying to enter this world and wanted to use Talbot's sanctum as a gateway.
Sam Blackwell and Friedrich Gottschalk break into and destroy the gang Abdi Amal wanted them to hit while Abdi's agents blew up a building nearby as a distraction. Good thing, because the gang fought back with guns and grenades. Either Frederich or Sam might have been seen. They left one bloodless victim behind. Sam also killed a cop using his demon hand.
Sam and Friedrich murder a small group of gang members to help Abdi Amal cover up a police shooting. They made it look like a drug hit.
All of the characters attended the Autumn Equinox Lunarcy ball as quests of the Saint Paul fae court. Talbot voted for Minneapolis in the moon vote. He also joined the fae court and fell in love with Queen Kirbydrokai. The other characters had a good time, but didn't have such a life changing night. Pancakes were had, allegiances were formed, secrets were learned.
Learning about an upcoming attack by the Dirty Shirt pack, arriving from WA, Udon warned the Hyland Howlers, helped them prepare, and got Los Lobos to agree to an aliiance. She is still working on getting the 5th & Wash pack to join her.
Udon rounds up the three other PC's to sneak into the U of M steam tunnels and attack The Circle, mutant vampires that have been terrorizing the campus. After killing several of them, the crew finds their leader, Gavin Reedy, surrounded by his army. He has also captured and tortured Blake Hazard. The group negotiates for her release and make a fighting retreat.
Friedrich Gottschalk's bar, Black Forest, officially opened across from the Allianz Stadium. It was a success in the eyes of both mortals and important supernatural people that attended. Friedrich got a task from Townsend Sprecher and kept Talbot Marlot from capturing any river spirits.
Gavin Reedy attempted to cash in debts on Sam Blackwell, but Sam refused to do anything other than put Gavin in touch with Viper. Then Sam attacked Gavin as he left. Sam kill Gavin by decapitation and also killed 3 of his cronies that were coming to pick him up. Sam called their sometimes co-worker Ted Day to come clean up the mess.
At the grand opening of Friedrich Gottschalk's Black Forest, Talbot Marlot agreed to help Wanda Siren capture and steal the power of the river spirits in the Mississippi River around Saint Paul. They weren't able to make any progress in Black Forest as Friedrich had Sully Gerstle and her friend dampen all magic in the bar for a short time.
Talbot double crossed Wanda Siren after they summoned a water elemental to steal the Spirit of the River. Wanda was saved by the Bridge Kids. Talbot did not know that Wanda was a fae queen in some court around Erie. Queen Kibydrokai used her influence and worked with her sister Queen Dededendroki to banish Wanda from the cities and protect Talbot. In exchange, Talbot agreed to serve as a court wizard in Kirbydrokai's employ for 7 years, 7 months, and 7 days.
Sam Blackwell lies to Blake Hazard and tricks her into being examined by Talbot Marlot under the guise of her being an anchor to help Sam break their contract with Viper. Talbot discovers that Blake's infection from Gavin Reedy is spreading and likely to turn her into a green vampire in just a few days. In order to remove the infection, Talbot needs to perform a ritual with Blake in a special container and make a wax mold/simulacrum of Blake using wax from a hive of Doze Bees. He needs to put a Fae Shrew in the box with her. The shrew will "eat" the infection and transfer it into the mold, which can the be melted and disposed of. NOTE: Talbot rolled a 7-9 to mislead Blake and did not choose "Avoid Entanglement" as an option.
Talbot Marlot agreed to scry on Fielding Shredder for Queen Kibydrokai. She asked him to do it "before Shredder finishes whatever he's working on," but at least before a week has passed.
Friedrich Gottschalk and Talbot Marlot break into Rory Breaker's shop and steal an Arowana fish, a Void Goat, and an owl creature that brings good fortune if you're nice to it. Rather than fight the store's guardian, Talbot helped Friedrich escape into the fae. They were taken to Queen Kibydrokai's court. Talbot gave the queen the bird as a gift, and she promptly set it free. Friedrich invited the Queen to dinner. She agreed as long as Talbot and Sam attended. Talbot had also agreed to help Semy Luster gain access to the Queen's court in exchange for a wish.
The trio spent spent the day looking for supplies to heal Blake Hazard's Green Meanie infection by going to the goblin market. Sam Blackwell was able to acquire the needed supplies, but not without cost. Everyone returned to Talbot Marlot's place and Talbot performed the ritual to pull the vampire curse out of Blake's blood. Friedrich Gottschalk was stung by an escaped doze bee. Zarkothos kicked the wax ball containing the curse into one of the levels of Hell, but Talbot kept a vial for himself. He has two days to do something with it before it dissolves or something bad happens. Talbot also played a juvenile prank on Friedrich while the vampire slept.
Talbot Marlot successfully scryed on Fielding Shredder and discovered his order, the Dark Nine were working on a ritual that required five components. They have a key and a pendant. They need a staff, a ring, and something to do with Terry.
Talbot Marlot arranged a meeting between the Green Grove Pack and the Grove Street Growlers to try to sort out peace and end their turf war. Sam Blackwell and Friedrich Gottschalk attended in case things got violent. Instead the three arranged a merger of the two packs, where Connor Sunpond would stay the pack leader until the rites and rules were sorted out. Friedrich planted a compulsion in the pack's 2nd in command, Ida No to overthrow Connor.
