Dead Men Actually Do Tell Tales

After three days of fasting in his sanctum, Talbot summons a new assistant into his sanctum - a bipedal, man-like creature with the head of a prehensile-tailed porcupine. With a living vector for the spirit to converse, Talbot summons and binds the werewolf's spirit, forcing it to tell the truth.

The werewolf reveals that an other-world entity known only as Nightmare entered his dreams and promised the pack new, verdant territory if they recovered Talbot's box. Nightmare only spoke in his dreams, and he never saw the creature's face. Unfortunately, the entity didn't give them enough information to succeed.

After questioning the spirit, Talbot released him, and tossed his body in another dimension using a portal inside his sanctum.
