Death of the Copper Splitters
A fairly recent event having only happened four years ago. The event is still fresh in everyone's mind and is a reminder that the Copper Mount Militia is not a force to be reckoned with.
The Conflict
Prelude
On the fortieth of winter, 649 AE, A group of Perfect One's who changed their bodies to be similar to the disgusting Tree-Splitters decided that it would be a good idea to try and attack Reserve Arsenal Delta for having made their 'profession' illigal.
Deployment
2300: The Copper Splitters began their approach towards Reserve Arsenal Delta, moving through mountains and entering into the city of Arsenal Basin. Their deformed bodies having lost all forms of fur, feathers, or scales in exchange for sweat cover skin, and hard chitin plates that glistened with frost. They moved quietly from building to building believing they had remained undetected. This was the visual seen by a sniper posted up in a guard tower through thermal scopes. There was thirty of the awoken turned beasts. With a whisper into radio, she informed the leader of Iota Squad, an Angtor woman by the name of Nobiek.
Conditions
The Copper Mountains get extremely cold in the winter. It was blizzarding that night with many, myself included hunkered down in our homes either asleep or around a warm fire. Green Ontologite can do many things, but it isn't a limitless. Though the biological deformities possessed by the Perfect One's that night helped with physical damage, it did little for this bitter cold. Even with this protection, they were far from immune.
The Engagement
Around 2330, Commander Nobiek had figured out her plans for the intruders and what should be done about them. They had to be stopped as their presence was dangerous to the population of the town. Five of her men and a Gun of the North were provided with scatterguns loaded with birdshot as to not pierce structures. They headed out of the bunker laying bear traps as they went and engaging the hostile forces when they encountered them. During the fight the team to kill ten of the Perfect One's, but sadly losing three men.
By midnight, Iota Squad had managed to set up the machine guns that had also been used at Thunder Pass. When the Copper Splitters arrived at Reserve Arsenal Delta, they were cut to pieces.
