Ontologite

The power to reshape worlds...

Ontologite is a metamaterial that comes in eight highly distinct variants. These materials cause extreme effects, and when tooled properly can grant the power to reshape Minerva itself. Each of the variants, however, shares a grouping of traits that all bring them under the umbrella term of 'Ontologite'. These effects are as follows.

• All forms of ontologite have a crystalline structure.
• Each form of ontologite reacts uniquely to electrokinesis, or a positive electric current.
• When exposed to electrokinesis, each variant slowly dissolves. Eventually, it vanishes with enough use, leaving behind ash that contains trace amounts of the reactant used to make it.
• Ontologite breaks when it is exposed to enough heat or kinetic force. 
• When ontologite breaks, rather then being used up with electrokinesis, each form reacts in a different way. Often this break is either destructive, or catestrophic.
• Ontologite is created with a reactant and the focusing of one's will onto said reactant. This process takes hours to complete and cannot be interrupted, or else the formation of ontologite fails to occur.
• Each form is related to a specific focus, making each type of ontologite associated with a specific quality in a person. An example is red ontologite which requires a focus on physical strength, or an act of physical strength to form.
• Ontologite can be cut down into specific shapes, or multiple pieces for use in circuits, tools, or other applications. If ontologite is cut too small, it retains its appearance but loses its metamaterial qualities.
• If a crushing force is applied to ontologite, this causes the forms break effect. Don't do this, you won't get a dust. 
• If ontologite is powered while apart of a circuit or in a specific application, we call this 'tooled', If ontologite is simply held and then powered, we call this 'raw'.
• Pieces of ontologite are not made equal. Each piece has its own density and hardness, with higher densities being more valuable and able to take a higher amount of electrokinesis before burning up. 
• The harder the pieces of ontologite, the more disastrous its break effect.
• Harder pieces of ontologite can be identified by their transparency. The lower density pieces appear opaque, while harder pieces become more and more transparent to reveal purple veins running through the gemstone. The hardest pieces of ontologite lose their color and become clear, the vains inside taking on the color of the ontologite.

As of now, there are eight known variants of ontologite, and their associated character qualities.

• Red: Strangth
• Orange: Dexterity
• Yellow: Endurance
• Green: Intelligence
• Blue: Preception
• Indigo: Charisma
• White: Electrokinesis 
• Black: Death
