The Forgotten Isles
The Forgotten Isles mark the site of one of the most epic stories never told.
Not much is left good or bad. Once in a great while, the few Slann who remember what happened here check the island with their mystical senses but the area is no longer patrolled by Skinks or Sauri. There is nothing left here to defend.
Geography

Fauna & Flora
Formerly this was a temperate rain forest, but no longer. There are no plant levels above scrubby bushes. No land animals live here above the insect level.
Sea turtles do lay eggs so life continues, in a limited fashion.
History
Karzecqe the Second Generation Slann lured a large number of Daemons (primarily Nurgle affiliated) to what is now the Forgotten Island and called down magic to obliterate them.
This took out more than nine tenths of plant and animal life of the islands while also creating a chain reaction that ultimately created the nearby Copper Desert.
Despite all this destruction, it was a win, because the area did not become an ongoing cesspool for Nurgle.
