Yalthera was a minor Kahoun that had the misfortune of being in the path of Clan Pestilens early push to infect all of Lustria.
Every Lizardman in the Kahoun was killed or driven away and the spawning pools were irreparably poisoned.
Once in a while, sickly malformed Sauri or Skinks will crawl out of the pool and then die within a few hours. Sadly, Yalthera is hardly the only monument to Clan Pestilens wave of destruction in Lustria.
Yalthera would be just another tragic monument to the many hardships inflicted on the First Children of the Old Ones, but the vampire, Lord Renliss discovered Yalthera and realized that with some effort he could turn the malformed spawnings of Yalthera could be transformed into partially dead, partially undead undead servants, reptilian versions of the ghouls commonly seen in the Old World. Renliss left a small occupying force in the ruins and he attempts to personally present when there is a new Saurus spawnings, in order to breed more Quatlixa.
