Belrikt the Skink Hero

Belrikt was a Skink Chief in the beast caste born to Klodorex but through a complicated series of events ended up in the Southlands where he became a respected general (where Skinks are far more likely to become an army general than in Lustria).
Belrikt was physically gifted and regularly did well in athletic contests. He was also a cracked shot with a blowpipe. He was skilled in melee fighting but he was only in the middle of the pack there compared to other Skink chiefs at least initially. As he survived more and more difficult campaigns, he improved his fighting skills.
As a member of the beast caste, he is knowledgeable in animal and general wilderness lore. Over time he picked up a wide variety of other skills and became a jack of all trades.
Belrikt was the deuteragonist in Divided We Fall, 18,840 words and the protagonist in New Alliances, 19,920 words.
