Angus "Robin" Robinson
Angus Robinson (a.k.a. "Robin")
Robin's father was a human vampire hunter, and his mother was half-fae. After his father disappeared on a hunt and his mother sickened and died of grief, Robin vowed to become a hunter and find the vampire who took his family from him. Trying to hide his Fae identity, he joined a less than reputable hunter agency, but when the truth came out and the agency realized they had a fae bound by a contract, who had also revealed his true name, they used the opportunity to exploit him.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Robin is underweight for his size and appears fragile. He also appears much younger than his actual age.
Body Features
Robin has deep, overlapping scarring crossing his back and shoulders from lashes with a belt and buckle, and also later has thick rough scars circling his wrists and ankles. He has two deep gashes on his left shoulder that are slightly indented.
Facial Features
Robin's eye color subtly shifts to indicate changes in emotions. Bright blue is intensity/focus, a soft blue is calm and relaxed, turquoise that shimmers is happy/joy, a silver grey is worried/stressed/fear, purple indicates sadness/grief, and a hazel green tone means he's in pain. There's a shade of red to them when he's a host.
Physical quirks
Robin fidgets quite often, and he tends to manage that by folding origami.
Special abilities
Robin's fae subtype is Fire/Energy, which means he is skilled at manipulating both fire and the life energies of the world around him, mainly plants.
Apparel & Accessories
Robin always carries a silver-bladed knife that was given to him by his grandfather. It's a type of traditional Scottish knife known as a sign-dubh.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Robin was raised by his parents at their family home until his father vanished during a hunt in 1998. When his mother began to weaken from grief, they moved into Rowan House with Hamish. After she died, Hamish raised Robin, and also homeschooled him and made sure both of them stayed off the burgeoning Fae Registry. He was afraid of what might happen to the fae whose locations and names were known. He tried to prevent Robin from following in his father's footsteps, but as soon as he turned eighteen, Robin left to join a hunter agency without Hamish's permission, seeking answers to what happened to his father a decade earlier.
Education
Robin was homeschooled by Hamish in order to keep him from being outed as a fae in the public school system. In addition to math, science, and literature, Robin learned both Scots Gaelic and the Seelie language, his grandfather's herbalism skills, and how to use and control his magic.
After he joined Silver Blade, he was trained at their hunter academy. While the agency is not known for having the most comprehensive or up to date training, Robin has taught himself the rest of what he needed to know to survive the job, as well as recalling some things he learned from his father.
Employment
Angus was first employed by the hunter agency Silver Blade. He joined without informing them of his quarter-fae status, a felony under the conditions of the Fae Codes. When his secret was discovered, he was offered the choice between a new contract or imprisonment in the Iron Cage, a fae prison. When he chose the new contract, he was trapped and exploited by the agency, used as a bargaining chip.
When Maira Lawson bought out his contract, he transferred to the Chimera Agency, where he was partnered with John Stoker. He is currently a member of Chimera's top field team.
Mental Trauma
Once Robin's true-name became common knowledge to his first agency, it was used indiscriminately to control him. Since fae consider the use of their true-name a highly personal and violating thing if permission was not previously given, this in and of itself caused severe trust issues and fear of humans.
Robin was often traded to informants by Silver Blade's hunters. This commonly included exchanging sexual favors for the desired intel. He was also beaten and neglected by his own teammates for small infractions. He became skittish and wary, but also afraid to disobey any order.
Intellectual Characteristics
Robin is highly intelligent, capable of using both his mind and his magic to solve problems. He is an adept improvisor and is well versed in basic scientific principles that assist in dealing with vampires. He is a fast learner, often remembering the smallest details of anything, even if he's only been shown once.
Taboos
Robin hates people using his true-name, it frightens him, even if they don't intend to control him with it.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Robin's quest for answers to what happened to his father when he disappeared drove him to join the hunter agencies. He's been searching for some kind of closure for his whole life.

Robin has made friends with a variety of the city animals, including stray cats and dogs, pigeons, and occasionally rats (although they tend to avoid him because of the cats).
