Cody Dayton
Cody Maxwell Dayton
Ever since he found out the neighbor kid next door was a literal fae, Cody has had an obsession with the supernatural. His novels in progress tend to feature not only the faerie lore but also vampires and werewolves, although Robin assures him those creatures are nothing more than legends. He's one of the few humans Robin truly trusts, winning both his and his grandfather's approval when he convinced the Rowan tree guarding the house to trust him (even after being nearly thrown across the yard).
Out of his whole family, Cody was the only child who didn't seem destined for a future sports career, despite his time on the high school wrestling team. Preferring the company of books to the competition of the athletic field, Cody found his passion in his first year of college when he got a part time job at the local library to pay for what his scholarships didn't cover.
Wanting to be an author was all well and good, but he knew he was still going to need a career to pay the bills, and working in the library turned out to be the most enjoyable job he'd had. He continued in an English major, but decided to pursue a master's degree in library science after completing his undergrad program. He's now taking courses for library science and working at the same library he got his first job at, and even though he hasn't completed his degree, he's begun working in the library's reference department and learning from the other librarians there as well.
