Hamish
Hamish was born in Scotland, the eighth of the family's ten children, in 1738, and his parents emigrated to the American colonies in 1756, as the British takeover of the lands forced more and more of the Seelie fae into hiding. Hamish developed a love of exploration, and eventually followed the expansion west, studying the land and its native flora, fauna, and fae until he finally settled in the area of Los Angeles in 1925.
Hamish's mother carried a Rowan tree from the old country with her when they moved, and Hamish had carried a cutting of it with him, fae-preserved to be grown when he settled. He planted it and built a house around it when he married the human woman he fell in love with in 1953, incurring the punishment of being banished by the local colony he'd joined. He took up woodcarving, which his wife took to shops to sell, in order to support their family without the help of the colony.
Hamish adored his only child, his daughter Eleanor. After she died, and he was left to raise her son, he began to age from grief, and his death after Angus left and joined the hunters against his will was quite untimely for a pure-blooded fae, which often live up to 500 years.
