Graūdenjai Forest (Grou-den-JIE)
This massive, claustrophobic forest is one of the most inhospitable regions in the Golden Peninsula, but also one of the most reasource dense. It is sparsely populated, has access to the largest and oldest trees in the region, and is home to many beasts and monsters. This makes the region a favored area for nobles seeking a prestigious hunt, monster hunters seeking a bounty, elves seeking to reclaim a peice of their past, and criminals seeking to escape the law. In times now long past, it was also a favored haunt of Bull Ogres and Stonebrow Ogres, and remains a place of superstition and suspicion as witch-hunters roam from town-to-town. Bordered to the north by the great fields of the Grenze, to the east by the Erdlandz Mountains, it is hugged in the south by both the Meddjan Pēstis river and the Debsmarri all the way to the Anztwei Straight to the west.
